Creating your own separate websites to sell the 2u Insurance is a good idea that is a proven formula for increasing the amount of money you make.
But exactly how should you do it, and what are the rules?
This is what we will look at here.
-
DO NOT copy from any other site - DO NOT copy from 2u.co.uk
-
DO follow the FSA Guidelines below
-
DO include the FSA compliance iframe code on every page on your site.
-
DO NOT copy the Terms and Conditions into your site. Live-link to the Terms on 2u.co.uk. Details below.
DO NOT copy from any other site - DO NOT copy from 2u.co.uk
You probably already know that you should NOT copy wording and content from 2u.co.uk. You are encouraged and advised to build your own separate web site that promotes the 2u products, because then you control that site completely, and you wil have unique content that the search engines will love and rank higher.
How to Write Your Own Web Pages on Insurance
So you should write your own web pages about the 2u insurance. But what are the rules and guidelines on what you can and cannot say?
You need to follow these guidelines for writing your own web page information about the insurance, in order to legally stay FSA compliant:
DO follow the FSA Guidelines.
FSA Guidelines:
- Your wording must be clear, fair and not misleading
- If you say something positive about the product you must be able to qualify what you are saying with facts. For example if you said “We are the cheapest” then you will have to compare prices against the competition.
- If comparing with other products or services the comparisons must be accurate.
- If using testimonials make sure you have all the evidence (date, name and customer)
- If using newspaper articles they must indicate the date the article was published and the newspaper name.
- Do not use small type in Terms and Conditions
- Do not discredit competition
So follow these guidelines and write your own content. Then you have your own unique site that the search engines will love and rank.
DO include the FSA compliance iframe code on every page on your site.
FSA Compliance iframe:
Make sure you put the FSA iframe on all of your pages which promote the 2u insurance. Get this FSA iframe when you login here then put it onto the bottom of every page on your site.
Non-branded order pages:
Rather than your customer going from the look and feel of your site, then through to the different look and feel of the 2u site and order pages, we have created a set of non-branded order pages for you. Once you have gone through the FSA iframe process, you will then be given access to the non-branded URL web addresses, which you can put into your website. You get the correct URLs to use after you have put the FSA Complinace code into your site.
This means the customer then has a seamless experience, going from your site through to the order pages, without seeing the (different looking) 2u logo and branding.
DO NOT copy the Terms and Conditions into your site. Live-link to the Terms on 2u.co.uk
Anyone found with copied Terms will have their affiliate account SUSPENDED immediately because the Terms will be out of date, which means a customer could purchase under the wrong, old Terms.
You MUST live-link to the Terms on 2u.co.uk.
There are a number of ways you can do this. Choose whichever best suits you and your site.
You can iframe include the Terms, you can open a new window with the Terms in, or you can use the RSS feed for the Terms. You can change the font but you must NOT change any wording.
URLs:
Link to
http://www.2u.co.uk/mobile-phone-insurance/insurance_terms_and_conditions.php
or use the include file at
http://www.2u.co.uk/mobile-phone-insurance/insurance_terms_include.php
or the RSS feed at
http://www.2u.co.uk/terms_rss.php
Again, we cannot allow affiliates to copy the Terms into their site. We will suspend accounts found with copied Terms. This means that the customer cannot then purchase.
When you do all this, you have a good-looking website that the search engines and your customers will love.
