How to EARN from Camera Insurance

Camera insurance is a new and interesting product. The growth of digital camera use has been rapid as the price of the cameras has come down and the availability has gone up.

But they are still quite expensive - and expensive enough for people to be upset if theirs should be damaged stolen.

So you can help them by selling camera insurance. Here is how ...

Here are your options ...
  1. Static 2u site
  2. Insurance Quick Customiser (coming soon)
  3. Your own separate site that feeds to your 2u site
  4. Your own separate site that uses the non-branded white-label form to take the order.
Now let's look at these in more details, and how you can start earning from them. As you read through, ask yourself these simple questions ...

  • Which one is best for you to set up and run?
  • Which could you earn most from?

  • 1. Static 2u site
This is set up and ready for you on your 2u site - just click the "Camera Insurance" link. This is the simplest option to get started earning from selling camera insurance. You simply drive traffic and customers to this site. When they buy, you earn.

There are no complications with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) because you are an 'advertiser' not a 'seller' (as far as FSA definitions are concerned) because you are sending customers to us without you taking the customer's money. We are FSA authorised and approved so you do not need to worry about this.

Good points: Simple and quick to get started. No complex coding for you to do.
Downside: You cannot customise this site because you do not have editorial control.

    2. Insurance Quick Customiser (coming soon)
This will be at www.insuranceshield.co.uk. It will work similar to the subdomain system of .2u.co.uk so you have your own unique subdomain to point customers to. Instead it is specifically insurance related.

For an example of a live (but not the insurance) Quick Customiser go to www.polyphonic-ringtone-ringtones.com and change the www to YOUR subdomain. You will then be able to login using the "Affiliate admin" link on the bottom of the page, and customise your own site.

The Insurance Quick Customiser allows you to create your own website with your own look and feel, without any worries about the FSA regulations. Because the content is controlled by 2u we make sure it is all FSA compliant.

Good points: FSA compliant, easy, quick, customisable
Downsides: Template layout so you do not have 100% editorial control (although you can customise it).

    3. Your own separate site that feeds to your 2u site
You can get your own separate domain name web address and hosting and build your own separate site. This gives you full editorial control.

You can then simply point your customers to your normal 2u site to take the order.

You MUST follow the instructions and guidelines on how to build your insurance site and content here.

    Good points: Total editorial control
Downsides: Leaves you open to FSA regulation requirements, the customer gets passed from your site's design to the standard 2u site's design

    4. Your own separate site that uses the non-branded white-label form to take the order.
This is simply the same as 3 above, but instead of passing the customer to your normal 2u site, you get access to special URLs simply open up a popup or new window for the order, which opens a plain, non-branded order form, which is on the 2u.co.uk server

This means that you are an 'advertiser' as far as the FSA is concerned, so the FSA Tool (see here) still applies to you. You must use this.

To do this you MUST follow the instructions and guidelines on how to build your insurance site and content here.

Good points: Full editorial control, you have control over the brand your customer experiences.
Downsides: You must make sure the words you use are FSA compliant
